Wounds Australia Conference

JWC Awards 2024
The 17th National Wound Care Conference will take place on February 23rd, 2024, at America Square Conference Centre, gathering experts and professionals in tissue viability and wound care. The conference will provide valuable CPD for nurses, podiatrists and other health care professionals involved in wound management, while offering insightful discussions and information to aid informed decision making.

STV - Fundamentals of lower limb care
There are currently approximately 75,000 people living with a leg ulcer each year with many more experiencing other lower limb conditions such as lymphoedema or foot ulceration. Many of these conditions can be avoided if signs are detected early and the right action taken.
This session will provide delegates with the fundamentals of lower limb and foot care.

The Wound Care and Management Event 2022
According to a recent research study, an estimated 3.8 million people in the UK have a wound that needs to be managed by the NHS. That figure represents 7% of the adult population and a 71% increase from 2012/2013. It costs the NHS significantly more to manage unhealed wounds (£5.6 billion per year) than to manage healed wounds (£2.7 billion per year), placing significant cost pressures which could be mitigated with earlier intervention.
